Farmer's Market Day

A short ride along the Yarra River this morning and we were at the Collingwood Children's Farm for the monthly Farmer's Market. I know I've said this before, but it is such a wonderful place. It's only 4 klm from the city center and it's hard to believe your not in the country.

There were stalls selling all types of local fresh produce. Organic fruit, veg, meat, olive oil, bread, flowers, I even found home spun wool. We enjoyed eating large pancakes with maple syrup, fresh squeezed orange juice, soy chai, bratwurst sausages in a roll. Mmm yum!

Then it was time to explore the gardens and visit some cute newly born babies. The girls even milked the cow. Fun! Fun! Fun!

I hope your all enjoying your weekend.

That sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday morning. I love markets as you never know what you might find.

These sort of photos make me wish I lived over east! Lovely greenness and beautiful blossoms!

In regards to your comment on my blog, I doubt it would have been the Karrinup market mum was at as she is a south of the river girl, but I will have to keep that in mind when I'm in Perth for the school hols :)
