Gone Bush

I've been a tad busy these last few days and have only just managed to do a spot of blogging.

Here's some photo's of our Sunday adventure out in the bush doing some rogaining.

Rogaining is a type of orienteering where you have to use a map and compass to find your way around a course to each checkpoint. The real serious rogainers will run it and they have six hours to finish thirty eight checkpoints, then there's the more relaxed type like us who only select a few checkpoints and walk it. We chose to do five checkpoints, which took us about three and a half hours (little legs and lots of stops which included plenty of sweeties to give us that much needed sugar hit).

All in all, it was a lovely sunny day to be out in the bush and we came home very tired but happy.

Starting out on a bush track

Going bush bashing.
Sarah led us to the next checkpoint using a compass by taking bearings.

Bush lunch and staring to feel a little tired.

What can I say?
