Beautiful People

I just have to say how I love all you blog friends. I have found such a wonderful community of like minded people.

The fun, laughs, advice, help and kindness that I have found from all of you is just amazing.

Today I received this gift of scrummy fudge from Allana of High Maintenance Hippy. In her note she told me that she had forgot to post this with her giveaway that I won a few weeks ago. How sweet is that! I wouldn't have known any different, but she obviously felt it was necessary and hey it is chocolate. Thank you Allana, it was so lovely of you. I've had some and it is hard to stop at just one.

Last month Robyn Lee asked me if I could supply her with an easy shortbread recipe. I have finally got of my butt, here it is below. It is so quick and easy, I hope you like it.

Shortbread Slice

250 g melted butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup caster sugar
1/3 cup icing sugar
1/3 cup cornflour
2 1/3 cups plain flour

Beat cooled butter, vanilla, sugars and cornflour in a small bowl till thick (about 5 min). Stir in sifted flour. Press mixture into greased 19cm x 29cm rect pan, ( I use my hands, then spatula). Mark into squares or rect, prick lightly with fork. Bake in mod oven 180 C for about 25 min. Cut where marked then cool in pan.

Sit down with a cuppa and enjoy.
