Vintage Finds

Today I scored by finding this table at a garage sale. I had been looking for something like this for ages to use as my sewing table. Now I can finally have a space of my own, in a corner of our bedroom, with no more packing and unpacking of the dining table. Yipee!!!

I love my new space, as there is more natural light and I have a great view onto the street.

I found these vintage patterns yesterday at an op shop.

These doilies to be recrafted and the Enid Blyton books also found at the same garage sale.

Talk about garage sale GOLD! What fabulous finds - I'm totally in love with the table, and my mum would be so jealous of the Enid Blyton books.

How exciting, what a marvelous table full of character! And what a stack of great old stories. Me and the little man have just started collecting the Hardy Boys series to read together; there's something rather special in the classics.

Where on this planet were you? Just kidding. You have struck gold just as CurlyPops says. In NZ those books are worth $50 each hardcover so im told. My inlaws live there and wanted me to scout around for some, thats how I know. I read them all as a little girl. each week I would walk around to the post office with my pocket money and buy the next in line. Your sewing table is going to be so productive for you! x
