Giveaway Winner & Fete Stuff

Well, who would have believed it, we got the wettest day of the week for the fete, but that didn't deter the faithful.

The entertainment was brilliant, on the small stage children performed throughout the day with all types of acts, there was dancing, jokes, magic, singing and more. Then on the main stage we had some past students performing with their rock bands, parents singing quartets and choirs, and a couple of the guys from the band formally known as Tism with their band, and boy did they get the cold crowd warmed up, it was great to see all the kids jumping around, no doubt high on sugar.

The beer and wine was not flowing as fast as in past years, as everyone was looking for a hot cuppa and some cake to keep warm. The food again was great, everything is made and served by the parents. There was the good old bbq sausage, souvlaki , dahl, vegie burgers, dumplings and more.

A much needed rest

I had a few purchases which I'll post about soon, but I also had a special visit from a fellow blogger, the most loveliest Tamarah of Shabby Vintage Junk. It was great to catch up, however it wasn't easy to relax and have a good old chinwag when there was so much going on and it's wet and cold. It was wonderful to see her again, however I think we need to meet next time in a quite abode, without distractions. Tamarah also gave myself and both my girls beautiful gifts she had made ( I'll do some pictures soon).

We were happy just to have you with us, the girls loved you, but thank you so much they are very special.

Me and Tamarah, trying to keep warm

There were so many activities for the kids to keep them occupied, like the spooky forest, the pirate pit, box maze, tikes on trikes and many more. If it all got too much and the kids just needed a rest, the staff room (which has a projector) was made into a movie room with continual films to watch. In the afternoon we went to see if anyone was there and were surprised to see the room covered in little bodies, crashed out on couches and pillows, all watching intently to the movie that was playing, it was also nice and warm.

Tamarah and the girls exiting the spooky forest
Tamarah looks more frightened than the girls ...ha..ha..ha

I recognise that school - shame about the rain but I'm sure it was a huge success as it always is! Looking forward to reading about your purchases.
