Baking Day


It's the day before the school fete and I've got some cakes to bake. I've got two chocolate cakes in the oven, then it will be shortbread. One of my friends is putting me to shame, she has done 17 cakes, yes that's right folks, SEVENTEEN!!! Wow what an effort, that deserves a round of applause. However she does have one of those swanky large ovens, where she can bake four at once. I want one.

So one more sleep to go, thanks goodness as the girls have been giving my ears a bashing in their excitement. I am looking forward to all the fun and I get to catch up with the lovely Tamarah from Shabby Vintage Junk. Now that will be a hoot.

I like your comment 'I want one' - imagine the fun you could have at christmas time with one of those!!! I think you are doing well to make 2 cakes AND shortbread...my last lot of shortbread was a big flop - tasted revolting. Do you have a good recipe that you would like to share (now that is a bit cheeky). Have fun at the fete.
