Vintage Finds

It's crazy out there at the moment.

I just can't get over the amount of fetes, garage sales, fairs, car boot sales there were this w'end.

I thought I'd hit the mother load when I went to a street sale. There were 16 houses along the street with all types of goodies on offer. Sarah and I had a lovely time wandering along the street going from one to the other. We were happy to find goodies for all the family, which I'll show you now, but when I got home tired but happy, I found that I had missed a vintage, retro bonanza only streets away. DARN IT!

Sweet little timber village, some in need of a bit of glue $2.00.
Will show you again once repaired and set up properly.

Now if you saw last weeks post, I found myself a pretty pink chair.
Well now I have a rather sturdy one in blue, this baby $2.00.

Enamel dishes in need of a clean $0.50 each. Fun for the kids making mud pies, great dog water bowl, handy at the bbq or just use in the kitchen.

Be still my beating heart.

This gorgeous array of vintage fabric just had to come home with me.
I almost bought the lot, but didn't want to look too greedy. Ha!
All these and more on the chair later for $25.00.

The complete loot.

So what do you need with all that vintage fabric.
Vintage patterns of course, found at a different house, the lot for $5.00.

One old baby cradle, soon to be girls toy box, as they found so many goodies $3.00.

A shelving unit, just needs a clean $3.00.

Look familiar.
Sorry about photo quality, will try again later with better camera.

So this morning while Andy was slogging away on his treadly riding 210 klm's for "Around the Bay in a Day"( I rifled through his wallet for much needed funds, he..he..he.. silly boy leaving that at home), then girls and I went to a car boot sale and YAY upon YAY, we found some more lovely finds to use and play with at home, but I'll save that for tomorrow's post.

Visit Sophie for more fab finds.

The fabrics are beautiful. I love the patterns too, I only found one really good one this weekend. I really am envious over the old baby cradle, it is gorgeous!
Loving that sweet white shelf, especially cleaned up and displayed with your collections.

What a wonderful idea to use the old cradle as a toy box. Brilliant!
