Library Book Bag - First Sewing Project

We needed library bags for the new school year, so the girls chose this piece from my fabric stash (this used to be a cot cover). I showed them how to sew on a felt heart we had cut out. I then help them sew up the sides with my machine, they loved it, just like driving I was told. We then finished up the top edge and used a velcro piece to close it. They didn't want handles but they can be added later if needs be. They did a great job and had lots of fun.
