A paper window box that Sarah finished yesterday. Unfortunately my photo does not do this justice. I love the concepts from the French company "Djeco". We have a few other projects from them that involve stitching, that are yet to be completed. Sarah was at home today resting with a cold. To keep her occupied quietly, we made minted chocolate biscuit shapes, dipped in melted minted chocolate. She finished a beautiful paper craft display - photo tomorrow. She also then painted a lovely Spring scene, while I prepared tonight's dinner, a Moroccan Lamb Tagine. Today the girls are home as the school is recovering from performing for three nights in this years musical. The lead actors performed in all three nights and the rest of the cast& crew shared the roles. My girls were on opening night, for which I was glad to get it over and done with, as they have been so excited for weeks. There were over 400 guests at each night and the place was buzzing.

Today I made the first recipe from the CWA cookbook. Almond Biscuits.This recipe had only 2 tbls of ground almonds and 4 cups of flour with a few drops of almond essence. Our little girl had her 6th birthday on Tuesday.She had a lovely day, even though it rained all morning.It is always exciting opening gifts, but the parcels that came in the post were the most exciting. Who doesn't love getting parcels in the post.Look at that face.I'm going to wear this badge all day.I wanted to post this yesterday, however blasted pics wouldn't load. Humph! Very annoying.

Have you ever read or seen the film "Under The Tuscan Sun", well you may remember how she came across her house by accident and the circumstances in how she acquired it, from the elderly owner. The girls and I went to a sweet little school fete on the weekend and had a lovely time. I was ecstatic to find these vintage goodies.This lovely old bike with timber seat was $2.00 and it works as the girls had fun riding it down the street to the car with their fete toy bargains in the tray.I love the colours of these dishes. I have some similar and they are great to put nuts, olives etc in.
